Everyday NYC: A Card for Life’s 8 Million Moments

Everyday NYC by Mark Michael

Were you a note passer in school? A holiday card giver? Do you appreciate the people who make life easier, more interesting, or just fun—whether it’s a great bartender who remembers your drink, a barista who nails your coffee order, a doorman who always greets you with a smile, or a friend who turned an ordinary night into something unforgettable?

That’s Everyday NYC.

Why Everyday NYC?

I’ve always loved the small moments—the seemingly insignificant interactions that actually make life richer. A quick thank-you, an inside joke scribbled on a napkin, a note left behind after a great night out. Those moments deserve more than a text or a like.

I wanted to create something tangible—a way to pass along a feeling, a memory, or just a simple acknowledgment. Everyday NYC Cards are designed for exactly that: the 8 million moments that make up a life in motion.

Not Just Another Greeting Card

This isn’t about birthdays and anniversaries (though, sure, they work for that too). It’s about the in-between moments:

  • A handwritten ‘thank you’ for the bartender who made your night.

  • A quick ‘IOU’ to a friend who picked up the check.

  • A note of appreciation for the people you see every day but don’t always acknowledge—the gate agent who saved you a seat, the hotel staff who went the extra mile, the neighbor who grabbed your package.

There’s something powerful about giving someone a card they can actually hold onto. It’s a reminder that their presence mattered—that they made an impact, even in a small way.

The Inspiration: NYC & Beyond

New York City is full of these moments. Millions of people, crossing paths, exchanging glances, sharing experiences, then moving on. It’s the perfect backdrop for a brand built on everyday appreciation.

But it’s not just about NYC—it’s about wherever life happens. Whether you’re in a small town or a global city, there are always people shaping your experience in ways big and small. Everyday NYC is about recognizing them.

What’s Next?

This is just the beginning. I’m playing with new ideas, new formats, and maybe even expanding beyond cards. But for now, it’s about getting these out into the world and seeing how people use them. I will be going live on my What Not channel beginning this Friday 7:30am MT - find me.

So, if you’re someone who believes in the power of a well-placed note—or just loves the idea of making someone’s day a little better—this is for you.

Let’s bring back the art of acknowledgment. One card at a time.
